Wayne Allyn Root coming to Southfork Ranch July 4!

Posted by Kevin Crouch on June 27, 2009

Wayne Allyn Root, 2008 Vice-Presidential Nominee of the Libertarian Party and presumed 2012 Presidential Hopeful, will be speaking at the Dallas Tea Party at Southfor Ranch on July 4th. I’m excited to see him speak, as I think he really knows the cause for liberty well when it comes to fighting the oppression of the Obama administration.

Join me and the Ellis County Conservatives at Getzendaner Park after the Crape Myrtle Parade, and then come with us to the HUGE rally at Southfork Ranch for music, famous speakers, fun, and 21-minutes of professional fireworks!

On July 4, 2009, the Ellis County Conservative Youth, alongside the Ellis County Conservatives, will be marching in the Crape Myrtle Festival Parade through Dontown Waxahachie, and attending a TEA (Taxed Enough Already) party rally at Getzendaner Park immediatley following the parade.

There will be music and several speakers, including myself!

I’m very excited to see how the day plays out. If you are standing in the crowd and want to stand for liberty, march with us in the parade to Getzendaner Park where we will rally the cause of liberty!

Parade begins at  10, and the rally follows immediately after. Hope to see you there!

The Ellis County Conservative Youth

Posted by Kevin Crouch on June 25, 2009

My good friend Trevor Scott and I have joined together to form the Ellis County Conservative Youth, an organization that serves as the youth wing of the larger Ellis County Conservatives. Recently I was elected Chairman, and Trevor is now Vice Chairman. I am glad to see the organization starting, but it begins with recruiting. That’s where you come in.

If  you are a teen who is concerned with the direction President Barack Obama is taking our country, stand with us! You can join us at the next Ellis County Conservatives meeting on Saturday, June 27 at 5 p.m. We will be meeting at the hotel by the Waxahachie Civic Center. The Ellis County Conservative Youth will be organizing their plans for July 4th festivities, as well as putting down a floor plan of how to move on toward the future.

As chairman, I’m very excited to see the progress of the group, and I ask that you join us and help the movement grow. Stand strong with us today, it could shape our America for tomorrow!

Health Care: The Time is Now

Posted by Kevin Crouch on June 17, 2009

Of all the issues I’ve addressed since Barack Obama took office, health care has not been one of them. I feel that, since President Obama has addressed the American Medical Association with his plan and the organization has expressed their fear and disapproval of the plan, now is the time to finally address this growing problem.

Coming Soon: Ellis County Conservative Youth

Posted by Kevin Crouch on June 9, 2009

Last Saturday, June 6, the Ellis County Conservatives group met to discuss the creation of their organization and plan some future events. I was in attendance, hoping to convince the group to allow the creation of a youth wing.

Not only did they “ok” the idea, but they also asked me to lead the efforts to create it. So, I’m honored to serve as Interim Chairman of the Ellis County Conservative Youth. We’re working on finding time for our first meeting, which will come after the next Ellis County Conservatives meeting, which is scheduled for the morning of June 20th. Anyone interested in the ECCY is encouraged to join us at this meeting, as specifics of the youth wing as well as the coming events will be among the topics of discussion.

Again, I am honored to serve as Interim Chair, and I look forward to having our first meeting together, where we can discuss the issues and move forward to take action against government oppression.

Explaining Real Conservatism

Posted by Kevin Crouch on June 2, 2009

I was contacted by a “proud liberal American” and fellow classmate today, asking why I supported Rush Limbaugh for Chairman of the Republican National Committee. I had the opportunity to explain the nature of a real conservative, so I thought I would post it here as well.

Here’s her comments:

rush limbaugh is a fat sack of crap. why the hell would you want him as your party representative? yay for close mindedness!! we should go back to segregation too huh? :) oh and i love neo- mccarthyism who should be first on our black list?

Here was my response:

First of all, I want him to be the leader of the Republican National Committee for the reasons listed in my video. The current chairman, Michael Steele, continuously apologizes for the conservative stances of the party, and the comments that express those views. The party cannot prosper with a leader who apologizes for our core identity.

Secondly, Rush Limbaugh, alongside other real conservatives, does not endorse racism or segregation. If you listen to the recent comments of Supreme Court Nominee Sonia Sotomayor, she said that in many cases, she believes a latina woman has better judgement than a white male. This is racism and bigotry, and Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, and other real conservatives are bashing her for it. A real conservative judges by the individual, and by their character. It’s the liberals and progressives who see blacks and hispanics as a struggling minority who needs the government’s help because they cannot make it themselves. I, and other real conservatives, see the opportunity of each individual, no matter their race, creed, sex, or religion.

Closed mindedness is perhaps one of the pitfalls of talk radio, somewhat of a trait that overcomes the mind of someone with their own air time being listened to by millions. If you think Rush is closed minded, listen to Mark Levin, who believes he’s the “Great One” and is the one who is right above everyone else. You’ll see what true closed-mindedness is, and that Rush just has a small pride issue in comparison.

Finally, I find it funny that you ask me about neo-mccarthyism and blacklisting. Recently, the Department of Homeland Security issued a report warning of “Right-Wing Extremists”, very similar to the days of McCarthy, and the witch hunts through Hollywood and the State Department. This memo, in broad terms, targets conservatives and right-wingers as terrorists and threats. Now, the true targets should be groups such as Aryan Nation and the National Socialist Movement, which press forward fascist-racist agendas. But, this memo, again like those targeting communists in the heat of the Cold War, blankets all right-wing conservatives, “blacklisting” people like me, John McCain, Mike Huckabee, Rush Limbaugh, George W. Bush, Mitt Romney, Chuck Norris, Sylvester Stallone, Ron Paul, Mark Coulson, Clay Scarborough, etc. Do all these people seem like threats to you?

I appreciate your arguments, and understand your dedication to your views. I invite you to watch my latest video entitled “Kevin Calls for Conservative Leadership”, and to visit my website at KevinCrouch.wordpress.com.

I was not able to post the video here, but it can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgSwGG8RVwg
