ECC Chair, On The Issues: Age, Teeth, Hair, and Girlfriends

19 12 2009

T.J. Fabby, Chairman of the Ellis County Conservatives, posted the following comment in response to Debra Medina cancelling her interview on The Activist Report: (For reference, the Randi mentioned is my girlfriend)

The reason why Medina cancelled is simple…she was advised by several in Ellis County that the show has close to zero listeners and that the host is NOW a perry feild rep. By now, everyone but Randi can see that Crouch doesn’t stand for anything. He’s like a stray dog on a busy city street…he’ll follow one person for a while, then he follows another, and another…not really loyal to anyone or anything. I, myself, have seen him go from a Bill Maher fan, to a libertarian, to a conservative, back to a libertarian, and now he’s a neo-con Perry supporter. Just a few weeks ago he was at Medina’s Meet & Greet in Mansfield wearing a Medina button and now he’s hugging Perry. The really sad part is…he would make a great politician if he didn’t bore everyone to death when he starts talking. I mean, even if you can’t see his goofy haircut and those big ole horse teeth, he’s still a very poor speaker. I know he’s still young, but don’t try to tell him that or he’ll say that age doesn’t matter and that he’s very experienced in politics because he already lost one race. There’s just no helping the kid. Just sayin…

Fabby, a strong Medina supporter, sticks to the issues crucial to the primary. Age, teeth, hair, and girlfriends.

The Daily Light: Open Letter to Kay Bailey Hutchison

9 12 2009

This is my letter that was published in the Waxahachie Daily Light:

If I could give Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison any advice at all, it would be this: keep your day job. She’s keeping the job, but isn’t really doing that job, the job we gave her all those years ago and continued to give her, even though she said she didn’t want it for more than two terms. I guess we voters didn’t listen.

In her first television ad, Kay announced that she will remain in the Senate through the primary in March, due to the current fight against the health care takeover in Washington.

That is an honorable move, except for the fact that she actually missed the first day of debate, only to be campaigning in Texas. Kay has great experience and skill as a Senator, but, in my opinion, that’s about it.

Now I have come to learn that women have an excellent skill of multi-tasking. However, it seems this is above Kay’s level of expertise. The fight in Washington demands most if not all the time available by each Senator, especially on the Republican side. Kay has a passion for serving the people of Texas and serve us she should. That includes putting forth effort where it is needed, and put personal ambition aside in order to serve effectively.

Kay is asking Texas voters to choose her career, but we have already chosen. We elected her to the Senate to get to work and work she must. Keep your day job Kay — we hired you to serve.

Mayor Bill White, in Partnership with ACORN

5 12 2009

I exposed Houston Mayor and Democratic candidate for Governor Bill White’s ties with ACORN on The Activist Report. Now I’m posting the websites that provided the information.

First, here’s the official site of the Texas branch of ACORN, which gives details of a Forclosure Prevention Fair hosted by White “in partnership with ACORN”. http://acorn.org/?14954

Also, here is a report from Eyewitness 13 New Houston (ABC Affiliate), telling about White’s review of a $155,000 grant that was given to the Houston ACORN branch by the City of Houston, which includes White’s defense of the organization. http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/local&id=7018098

I’m going to continue investigating these connections, to see who is responsible for the grant, and how deep Bill White’s apparent working relationship with ACORN goes.

UPDATE: Mayor Bill White’s working relationship with ACORN goes as far back as 2006, possibly farther. Houston’s housing department appears to be working with ACORN closely.

A Look at the Vision of Governor Perry

27 11 2009

Here’s a look at Governor Perry’s continued vision for Texas.

Give Thanks

26 11 2009

For many Americans it may be hard to be thankful this holiday season. Over 40 million Americans wake up every day without adequate health insurance, and 10.2% of our nation is without a job, in the worst economic downturn since the recession of the 1980’s. But we wake up everyday in the greatest nation in the world, and without many of the hindrances other nations in the world face, like the oppression in China or the genocide in Sudan.

We have much to be thankful for this and every other Thanksgiving holiday. Not only for the blessings of grace, liberty, and love, but for our sweethearts and families, friends and neighbors. Each and every one of us owes our gratitude to and a prayer of protection for the armed men and women serving overseas, who have volunteeered to put their lives on the line to keep our nation safe and successful.

Give thanks this holiday season, and be grateful we live in this great country. We must also keep in our thoughts and prayers those who have less to be thankful for, and go without a thanksgiving meal, or a family gathering. We live in a timultuous time, and while we are counting our blessings, we must always be mindful of those who are less fortunate.

Happy Thanksgiving to you an yours.

Oh, and be thankful for God’s creation of the juicy, tasty turkey.

The Race for Governor-Hitting the Serious Gridiron

25 11 2009

I have done a lot of talking in support of Debra Medina, Chairwoman of the Republican Party of Wharton County, and have seen her as a genuinely great conservative. Yet I have grown weary of the message she continues to spread that she is simply a protest candidate, running without a true eye on the Governor’s mansion. I’ve decided to take this election more seriously, and go not only with my common sense, but with my conscience, and stay on the sensible side of the two-way fight for the Republican nomination, and support sitting Governor and state sovereignty advocate Rick Perry.

Taking BlogTalkRadio by Storm

20 11 2009

Last night I joined Ellis County Observer Radio Show host Joey Dauben for an extended episode of his show, and boy did it get crazy! It was one hell of a forum, three people yelling at each other with me holding the reponsibility of hosting. Well, I put my foot down got to work. Needless to say, I had tons of fun! But, I was only warming up for tonight’s live airing of The Activist Report, which will have some new listeners who enjoyed my style of hosting and, quite frankly, taming a loud, emotional, and energetic forum. I can’t wait for t0night’s show!

Tonight we will wrap up our discussion on the Fort Hood situation, including some insight into the religious motivations of gunman Nidal Malik Hasan. Also, we’ll further discuss the race for Texas governor, and some local issues that are rising up as well.

Of course, this show is an open forum for discussion so if you call in and bring it up, we’ll talk about it. We take free speech very seriously!

See you on the air waves!
